How it Works:
Use the form on this page to apply for a Smithland Sidekick card. You must include proof of your 501(c)(3) status, and a contact name with whom we can follow up.
Once you are approved, you will receive 2 free posters and a free box of business cards to hand out to anyone who might be interested in donating to your cause.
When customers shop at Smithland Supply or myAGWAY, they simply show the cashier your Smithland Sidekicks business card, or tell the cashier that they wish to donate to your organization. Upon checkout, 5% of the customer's pre-tax transaction funds your Sidekick account.
On a quarterly basis we tally Sidekick donations. When your balance is $5 or more, we transfer the total to a Smithland Supply gift card that you can pickup in store. When your balance is under $5, we continue to carry the total over to the next quarter until your balance reaches or exceeds $5.
* Limits may apply. Only one Sidekick code may be used per transaction. Sidekick codes may not be used in conjunction with an employee discount. Applicants must allow up to 21 business days for application processing and delivery of marketing materials.

Please note: Beginning February 1, 2020, “Friends of Dave” members who shop at the Hadley, Ludlow, Northampton, Stafford Springs, or Ware locations will be known as “Smithland Sidekicks.”
If you previously had a Friends of Dave scan code, you do not need to submit a new application. Your code will remain the same in the Smithland Sidekicks program; however, you will need a new set of business cards and posters.
Upon approval, new Smithland Sidekicks will receive a free box of 500 business cards imprinted with their organizations name and scan code, along with two (2) 11”x17” posters. We encourage you to begin passing out your new cards right away to encourage donations. We will also share a graphic to share on your social media pages, and will support your fundraising efforts in any way we can.
Share your code with anyone who would like to donate 5% of their purchases at any Smithland Supply or myAGWAY location. A customer may also verbally request to donate to your organization without having a code or card, but may not donate to more than 1 organization during the same transaction. Anyone using a Smithland Supply or myAGWAY employee discount at checkout may not donate to a Sidekick organization.
Members will receive notice of their 5% rebate earnings quarterly. If your quarterly balance is $5 or more, you will receive a Smithland Supply gift card pre-loaded with the full balance, and your account will begin again at $0 for the next quarter. If your balance is less than $5, we will carry the balance over to the next quarter.
Once all store managers have received a quarterly balance sheet, they will make calls to the person authorized to collect your gift cad, and we will send an email to let you know when your Smithland Sidekick gift card is ready for pick up.
